“We had 600ah of lithium batteries, 900 watts of solar panels, upgraded our dcdc charger, the mppt controllers, as well as installing our UHF radio to allow us to go off-grid. Nick and Bryan we’re very professional from our first inspection meeting, to the final day of installation. All work was carried out with great attention to detail.
The boys went above and beyond making various adjustments to certain parameters that weren’t set correctly from the previous owners at no further cost to us to make sure everything was right, and organised an impromptu after hours callout to help us out on the weekend when we needed help with a totally unrelated item. They also provided a detailed training handover to make sure we knew how all the equipment worked and setup the apps for us.

“After buying a new caravan we discovered pretty quickly that our solar/electrical package wasn’t fit for purpose. We did some research (would have been handier before instead of after, but hey) and worked out what we needed, we approached the vendor we purchased the caravan from for a quote to upgrade the package and were taken aback by the price tag. Desperate to get a second opinion before committing to further significant spending we found OffgridRV on Facebook. We rang Nick and he came out and spent considerable time going over what we needed and pointing out some safety issues that would need addressing as well as some bottle necks (cable that wouldn’t take the capacity) and gave us a quote. I did a little research to see if everything he suggested was necessary (I never told Nick that, so keep this between us) and found it was all necessary if we wanted the results that we are now enjoying. I’m writing to express my satisfaction and gratitude with the solar and off grid system you recommended and installed to our caravan.
Firstly the gratitude in the time with explanation of the recommended system as I was steadfast with the opinion it was over designed, (obviously my opinions were based on budget and not understanding).
We are in our 11th week of travelling and camping leaving WA early August 2025 with much of it free camping (currently at Copeton lake NSW) our system has operated extremely well and been more than efficient meeting the demand of all our appliances and 2 fridges. So total satisfaction.
